Lincoln Co-Pilot360 is a suite of driver-assistance features that make your driving experience safer. These systems act like extra eyes and ears, monitoring the area around your vehicle and warning you of potential accidents. Some of these features will actively intervene to prevent a collision. As your Lincoln dealership, we want to tell you more about some of the features.
From Your Lincoln Dealership: 4 Advanced Safety Features in the 2025 Lincoln Lineup
Blind Spot Information System (BLIS)
This system is invaluable when changing lanes. It uses radar sensors to monitor your vehicle’s blind spots, the areas you can’t easily see from the driver’s seat. If a vehicle enters a blind spot, you’ll hear a warning tone and a warning icon will appear on your screen. In addition, a warning icon appears on the corresponding side-view mirror. These warnings give you enough time to turn back into your lane and avoid a collision.
Rear Cross Traffic Alert
This feature operates at slow speeds and activates when you shift into reverse. It uses radar sensors in the rear bumper to watch the areas to the left and right for approaching vehicles. If an approaching vehicle is detected, an icon appears on the corresponding side-view mirror to identify the vehicle’s direction. A warning alert is also triggered, allowing you to hit the brakes and prevent the accident.
Rear View Camera
This camera makes reversing easier and safer than ever by allowing you to see clearly what’s behind you. It activates when you shift into reverse, and displays the wide-angle camera view on your front screen. The system also adds predicted guidelines, based on your wheel position and anticipated driving angle, to guide you.
Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
The best collision is the one that never happens. This system works continually to prevent an accident by warning you if you’re too close to another vehicle so you can intervene and prevent an accident. It uses radar and a dedicated camera to identify a vehicle in front of you. If a vehicle is detected, the radar determines the distance to it and computes the likelihood of an accident based on your current speed.
If the system determines an accident is likely, it provides visual and audio warnings to alert you to impending danger. These warnings give sufficient time for you to brake or swerve around the other vehicle and prevent a collision. If you’re unable to react in time, this system will apply emergency braking and bring your Lincoln to a stop to prevent the accident.
Available safety features include adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and a 360-degree camera. If you’d like to know more about any of these systems, contact us today at West Point Lincoln in Houston, TX.
